    First let me state I’m not a reader. Probably only read 4 books in my 69 years. I accidently bought Racing in the Rain and wanted to return it but it wasn’t expensive so I was going to donate it to a child (I also got the young reader version) but thought I would at least read the first chapter. That was two days ago and I just finished it. You not only grabbed my attention but kept me interested the entire book. The ending had me in tears. Happy, sad tears. So I just wanted to thank you for such a great and enjoyable read. Enzo was so touching as was the unexpected ending. I loved every word of this book. Can’t wait to see the Movie on Monday. Thank you for two days of adventure, drama, love and happiness.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you !! I am a reader and a dog guy. A big, long haired, bearded, tattooed dog guy. This book made me cry like a little girl, but the happiest cry ever. It made me feel things I hadn’t felt in years. It gave me a greater understanding of my Golden, Cody, when it was his time to move on, and has given me greater insight into the crazy nature of Angus, my newest Golden. I realize I can’t live without one of these amazing creatures in my life, and I think the same goes for my wife. Having had many dogs throughout my 62 years, and I assure you I loved them all, none has done to me and for me what these two goofballs have. I look into his eyes and see intelligence and understanding beyond that of any other animal I’ve ever seen. Enzo and Denny’s story made me want to squeeze every bit of joy out of my life with Angus that I can, and I so look forward to our life together. Thanks again for a true classic

    I just finished :Racing” and I am still sniffing away the tears, albeit HAPPY TEARS . I am a dog person, have had a golden and very recently had to say GOODY to my LAB. aS I READ THE BOOK, I was thinking about my DALLAS the lab I had to put down because of her issues with displaysia plus other issues. Thank you Garth for such insight into life and what makes the world GO AROUND.

    I’ve listened to the audiobook, seen the movie and just finished reading the book. Even though I knew the story, it still brought/brings a lump to my throat. I’m sure that Garth has been a dog in a previous life!!!!

    Garth, I am an avid reader, and I want to SAY that one of the main reasons I asked for your book is because I am
    and avid NASCAR fan as well, but I couldn’t sleep last night and started your book and read it to the end, I laid there crying like a baby, one of the most profound books I have read lately. God Bless you and keep up the great books.
