Here are a few fun images that Fox has released from The Art of Racing in the Rain — the movie.

Getting to pilot an EARLY Testarossa would be the coup d’cinematique, for sure… even if it’s replica (is it?)

My spouse handed “The Art of…” to me to read while awaiting a diagnosis of a mystery pain in my abdomen. A tender spot, when poked, provoked a sharp pain. This occurred on a Thursday noonish, which lead to the emergency room triage, nothing obvious, just a high white cell count, a total med mystery….
Into a private room, that just happened to be in the cancer floor….Not a good omen, a parade of MD’s, and assorted staff. “It’s only Here that it hurts?” *poke*grimace* “Eeh…Yes.”
Tests. MRI. X-rays. Sonogram. The gamut. Nothing to indicate Why.
All that was left was a colonoscopy. That couldn’t be done until Tuesday.
Schedule Issues….wonderful….:(
All through my stay, Enzo kept my attention and made the stay…tolerable….and provided an insight.
Right up to the last page.
An esciema the size of a quarter on my small intestine. Basically, a blood ‘blister’. Had it broke, it may have been a bigger issue; caught, a minor procedure during the colonoscopy….
I passed the book on to an friendly and charming RN, who’d take a moment longer to chat, the day I left.
“You’ll like this…especially since you work this floor. It’s not just about cars…that’s just a meme to an end.” 😉
(Two days before, a patient left the ward undercover on the gurney; a somber blanket of a life not extended beyond his room.)
I appreciate my dog a lot more since. Her canine companion of 12 years didn’t get beyond New Years’ Eve, I miss him profoundly, as he’d become a muse of sorts. One could say he was my surrogate Enzo, but more apt was to remind me that patience would generally lead to Something Better.
For him, food, a walk, a car ride, treats, or just a devoted companion to myself and my spouse.
Thanks for your book. I hope the movie does well, and captures the spirit of the book’s silent narrator. *S*

And circulating Seattle International Raceway clockwise. I know, they call it Pacific Raceway or something now. I remember it being referred to as “Kent” back in the ’60s when it hosted the great, original Can-Am series!

I’ve been waiting on a movie from this book since I read it years ago. Having actually seen these cars race by independent drivers, I’m very much looking forward to finally watching it.

Having actually seen these cars race years ago, and having gone to many sports car races all over the Southeast as a crewman, and long time flag marshal, I can’t wait to see the movie. Most unfortunately, you can rarely see these Ferrari’s now due to their value even at the Walter Mitty.

I recently started a book club at the local senior and chose this book to read it. I actually read this book a few years ago and never forgot it, I can’t thank you enough for writing it. They say that dogs are very intelligent and probably come back as man. I also love golden retrievers.
