My first tears as a man – apart from as an infant, which I do not recall – came when I was 18 and I learned the great Jim Clark had been killed. In a race in Germany.
I do not race cars, but I am a pretty good driver, and I love to drive fast in the ran – on roads empty of cars and houses. I feel a car, each wheel, each part. So naturally I have loved Ferrari since a teen.
I love dogs. I bond with each one I have, have ever had.
So when I saw a book with a Golden Retriever peeping over the bottom of the cover of a book, and then saw the title was “The Art of Racing in the Rain,” I bought it. And read thru it.
